While the name "Jardine" is not all that common in the United States, it is very significant in the Orient where Jardine Engineering Corporation is a part of the Jardine-Matheson or now Jardine-Fleming, who have a wide-flung empire, dealing in everything from cold, hard cash to the highest of hi-tech. We are not related in any way to that Jardine connection.
Jardine is also a Scottish clan, a border clan, originating in the Dumfries region of southern Scotland.
